- Severe WeatherAbout forty six years ago there was a great storm. It knocked slates of houses. It commenced on Christmas night an it got sober New Year's day. There was a good deal of harm done ouring to the killing of cattle. There were three heifers killed some - where around Castleisland. They were taking shelter near a big building and it fell down on them.Floods:-
