He and his fellow comrades on that eventful day.
Were taken out as hostages, by the soldiers of the State
For a single special torture, that youth of bravery
His cross he bore like his Saviour of yoer
    On the Summit of Mountfalvey
    5.
His broken hearted Mother and his sisters young and fair
Lay dying in their homestead as the boy was murdered there.
His old, aged father came next day, his homid to see
And to carry his darling home to rest, from
    The Summit of Mountfalvey.
    6.
May his soul go forth like a guiding star, where all are brave and true.
May freedom, peace, and prosperity crown Ireland's faithful few
Our Saviour died for to save mankind on the summit of Calvary
But Jim Walsh died for Ireland's right
    On the Summit of Mountfalvey.
