- Long ago when there were few traps, side cars were in fashion. There is not even one side car in the country now. Returning from the church in the first side car the bride and bridegroom would be and all the friends following them also in side cars from the chapel. After the wedding they would go home for breakfast and always on their way home they would be "roped" that is a rope would be put across the road before the first car. They would have to halt and give them money.
