    We're at Feales Bridge, the moon shines bright;
    Just four miles from the borough.
    If we dont make the grade to night
    We'll get there by to-morrow.
    The Clydagh, picturesque and grand
    We now are passing over
    No place like this in any land
    So writes the Kerry Rover.
    Round Patsy's cross we rolled on high
    We're passing Regan's court (now Neffernan's)
    Where lords and dukes in days gone by
    Did dine, and wine and sport.
    Tis Brosna cross, through fog and rain
    I see the Chapel spire.
    Thanks be to God, I'm home again
    For years my hearts desire.

    As through old burgh we did go.
    How strange it looked to me.
    Where hovels stood, thatched dingy, low,
    Sky scrapers now you see.
    The streets are wide with asphalt laid
    Some new men here and there
    And on the curb the names engraved
    To guide you everywhere
    A street now runs the whole way down
    At the back of Billy's Alley
