- A StoryLong ago their lived in a little hut a boy and his mother. This boy was a rambler. Every night he used to go to a neighbouring house playing cards. One night as he was going to the house he saw four faires carring a coffin.
He took the coffin from them and carried it home. He showed it to his mother. When she saw the coffin she told him that some missfortune would fall upon him.
He opened the coffin and saw within a beautiful young lady almost dead. He took her out and gave her something to eat. He went again to where he got the coffin. He heard the fairies saying that he could make her talk by giving her boiled rushes. When he went home he gave her the boiled rushes and when she had them drank she began to talk. She told him that she was the King's daughter. The man wen to King and told him that his daughter was at his house and she was safe. This King had a reward of a thousand pounds for any man who would bring his daughter home safely. He brought her to the King and when he arrived at the palace with her, the King was delighted. He went home with the money and never went rambling again.- Collector
