The Frog He is said to change his coat from Yellow to Red when rain is near.
Insects. Midges in the evening are a sign of fine weather. Ants creeping on the road indicate rain.
The Cat. When the cat turns his back to the fire it is a sign of rain.
The Dog. When we are going to have rain the dog eats grass.
Fish. Fisherman say that fish in the river will not take the bait when rain is over head.
