“There is a field in our land called 'Páirc an tSéipéil'.”
There is a field in our land called 'Páirc an t-Séipéil'. It is so called because a thatched Church was there in olden times, and Mass celebrated by an old Priest who lived near it. There (is) was a burrying ground in the same field and it is said that all the unbaptised children were buried there. Aodhgán O Rahilly and his mother lived near this field with the neighbours and when they got the best of her, she went to a well called Aodhgán's well and threw a scio [?] into it and it immediately moved moved from the top of the hill to the bottom. The well is still there and the people of the townland get water from it.- Informant
