- There is one holy well in my parish. This is out in the hills at a place called Corrin (Headford, Co. Kerry). A great many people visit this well on the first of May, and also on the twelfth of May. On that day, when the people go there they perform rounds and say their prayers. It is believed that long ago a saint lived in that place and after her death this fresh water rose up in the spot where she died. A number of people thank their visits to the well, and the drinking of the water for the curing of disease.
