- The Rathmore PresbyteryA bout a hundred years ago the house and land now occopied by the priests of Rathmore parish belonged to some rich people At one time when the family were away four of the five work men who lived on the land were found dead with their bodies all bruised and torn The fifth man was so badly wounded that he died without giving any information as to what happened Detectives were employed to try to find out how the men got killed, but the case was never cleared up from that night out the family were disturbed. From that night out at the same hour every night by wild noises and screaming in the room where the men were dead Then they let the place to monks who started a boarding school but that was a failure as the boarders would not stay on account of the noises at night Then it stood idle for a number of years and the people in the neighbourhood were afraid to go pass the place at night the owners of the place gave it(continues on next page)
