  1. One day a shepherd was minding sheep on a mountain near the Killarney lakes. a rider on a white steed rode up to him and said will you do this and if you will you will be paid well. "I will give you this purse of gold"."I will" said the shepherd. Then the rider gave him a letter and told him to go to County Limerick two miles in this side of Bruree and you will meet three men and give this letter to the tallest of the three.
    The shepherd took the letter and went away. He met the three men and gave the letter to the tallest of the three. The tallest man said "If you were a minute sooner you were
