A few balls of rope when "picked" would fill a flour bag.By the way a small change was made in prison life as a result of what happened one day when my Uncle Connie O'Donoghue was in gaol. When at exercise the prisoners were made to march around a small circle one after another with a warder in charge. It was annoying to the prisoners to be marching in the same direction constantly.One day Connie was getting a reeling in his head from going in one direction and all of a sudden shouted "About turn."
