    It was burned in a kiln that was in the farm of Dave Leahy Laharn, Faha, Beaufort. A layer of turf was put in the bottom of the kiln and a layer of limestone was put on it and this was continued until the kiln was full. Then the turf was put on fire and the limestone used begin to burn into lime, This lime was used for white-washing houses and for manuring land.
