- The names of the roads in this parish long ago were the cottage road, the bog road and Clash boreen. The cottage road leads from Neils cross to listry cross. The bog road leads from Ballymais cross to Borakeens cross, and Clash boreen leads to Rockfield cross. They were very bad and rough then but the most of the roads are as smooth as glass now-a-days.
