- The people long ago used to have three meals:- breakfast, dinner, supper. At 8 o'clock in the morning breakfast was, and supper at 7:30 o'clock. The people used to work before breakfast. They used to be up at candle-light. Potatoes and butter-milk were used at every meal. The table was in the middle of the floor.Oaten meal bread was generally eaten. First the flour and oaten meal were mixed. Then butter-milk was put in to it and it was stired. Then more flour was put into it and then it is put on a pan, and then it is put into the oven.
