    entertained the neighbours who would gather on their Ceilidhe to hear the latest news from Philip.
    Hoy was the terror of the district, in so far as the children were concerned. He wore a beard, long coat, and carried a bag and staff, in his hand. All the youngsters knew him, and no sooner did they come in view of Hoy than they ran for their lives. He was harmless however, and would only shout at the children. He died recently at the age 110.
