  1. I live in the townland of Drummany. It is situated in the Parish of Dartry, in the Barony of Dartry, Co. Monaghan. There are two families, comprising eight people living in the townland. The name most common is "Coulson". The houses are all slated, in the district. In former times there were more houses than there are now. There are three or four houses in ruins. The people who once occupied these houses emigrated to America and other countries many years ago. The townland is not mentioned in any song or saying. The land is hilly, but not boggy. It is fairly good. There are no woods growing around the district.
