  1. The Local Fairs.
    The local fairs are held in Clones, Monaghan, Newtown butler, Lisnaskea, Enniskillen Cavan and Cootehill. Buyer sometimes come to buy animals at the farmers houses. The town fairs are held in a special place, and sometimes in the streets. When animals are sold no luck money is given. When a bargain has been made the parties strike hands, and sometimes they spit on their hands. Fairs were held in Redhills, but now they are discontinued, because the buyers stopped coming to them. Animals are marked with keel when they are sold. Animals are not
