  1. People considered all Hallow's Eve unlucky. On that night people played tricks for seeing into the future. There is a saying - Monday for wealth,
    Tuesday for health,
    Wednesday the best day of all,
    Thursday for crosses,
    Friday for losses,
    Saturday no luck at all.
    Friday is the luckiest day for removing from a house to a new home or for starting anything at all.
    The days of the old Ríach are unlucky and they are said to skin a person the weather is so severe.
    Long ago, Valentine's day was considered lucky. It is kept on the 14th February. If a person received a letter it was believed to bring luck.
    When any person or thing was born in Whit week, it was believed to be unlucky. Whit week was called Witsontide.
    The first of May is unlucky. There are people who believe you are taking their luck if they give you anything on this day.
    Ney Year's days is supposed to be unlucky. There is a say if you do anything wrong you will be doing it every day of the year. Another is "As Friday begins it ends".
