  1. There is a rath in Kelly's field. It is a circular mound with trees growing on it. The banshee was supposed to be heard there and there was also lights seen there. There is a rath in Mrs. Shermans field in the townland of Garrylawn. There are bushes growing round it and a hole in the centre. It is maintained the banshee is heard there also.
    In one of George Ringwood's fields there is a rath. It is circular mound with trees growing on it. It is situated between the Ghoul river and its tributary. There is a story told about this rath. One night, a man was walking to Johnstown between two and three o'clock. When he passed by the rath small people came out after him and walked behind him to the river where they left him.
    There is a rath in the townland of Rathreagh, in David Scotts field. It is built on a hill and trees grow on it. Trees have been cut there from time to time and anything never happened those who cut them.
    In one of my aunt's fields there is a rath. It is a circular mound with trees growing on top. A woman named Mary Mc Levoy used to live near it. She had a cow. One night a fairy came in and asked her for milk. She would not give it. When she went out the next morning the cow was dead.
