    Long ago the people made their own candles. When they used to kill a cow they would gather the tallow, melt it in an oven & strained it into a large vessel. When cold they would melt it again throw it into moulds in the form of candles. When they were then cold they slightly heated the moulds and out came the candle.
    Baskets
    Those are made nowadays as they were made long ago.
    Ropes
    The ropes were made of "fionán" twisted with a "crúacán". When the "fionán" was cut it was dried. It was then pulled after which it was twisted with the "crúacán". One person
