  1. There was man once living near Beaufort. He was a very poor man and had a large family to support. At the time of the famine the Protestants gave out soup to all Catholices who turned Protestants. The man turned.
    He went to the Protestant service every Sunday and he sang what the Protestants supposed to be hymns in Irish. One Sunday the Mc. Gillycuddy was near him and heard him singing one of the dirtiest songs that could found. Immediatley he got notice to quit.
