“A farmer named Nevin lived in Drehid.”
A farmer named Nevin lived in Drehid. On one of his fields was a rath. On account of this rath he could not plough his field so he had it dug up and taken away. One night on returning home from visiting a neighbour he was amazed to see the rath back in its place again. Nevin found himself being carried into the house by a red coated soldier who told him not to interfere with the rath again, that he – the soldier – had been buried under it. The farmer fell very ill after this but on recovery sold out and went to America.
