- When people are being buried each person who attends the funeral gives money. A table is put in the chapel and each person gives an offering, £1 being the most and 2s 6d being the least. This money is given to the priest. The average amount given amounts to £6 or £7.Offerings are given in places in Leix Offaly & parts of the north.
