    Two men were going to the fair of Kells with a drove of sheep shortly after midnight.

    drive as a gentleman who died some years before in that place. The two men were frightened but one of them had a little bottle of holy water in his pocket. He took it out and sprinkled some of it on them both. As soon as he did this, the horses, carriage, and driver went off in a big flash of fire making teriffic noise. The two men and the sheep went on to the fair.
