- 4. McDougalls dip will cure a dog from eczema(ditto).
- 5. Garlic for pains in back (ditto).
- 6. Linseed meal for boils (ditto).7. Cure for a cat with fleas in it's ears. Dip a feather in Olive Oil rub on ears and fleas will come off (Mrs Cassidy, Newcastle heard in Co Wexford).
- 8. Rub chapped hands with Vaseline and hold to fire and let it sweat, tie a rag around it (ditto).9. For cuts wash well with tepid water to cleanse then apply zambuk or a little zinc ointment to heal, bandage with linen ( Mrs Farrell, Celbridge).10. Blue for a wasp sting (Mrs Wing, Celbridge).11.
