    ruins in Oldtown as the mud cabins did not last long.
    When the tilling of the land ceased and work was hard to be got the young people of the locality emigrated to America and to England. Oldtown to my knowledge is not mentioned in any song or saying.
    The land in my district is level and very fertile with the exception of a few fields of boggy land called, "The Bog."
    There was a wood in it also but the trees were all cut down.
    The river Liffey flows through Celbridge skirting the main street. Into this river
