    Its well I know from Naas to Dublin the whole country road
    My age it was scarce twenty one in the Summer of that year
    The United men were on parade they met me with my dear
    As nice a girl as nature framed, or ere the sun shone on.
    They robbed her of young Doorley, and deprived me of my Anne

    It was on to Naas they marched me along with fifty two.
    We had fifty stand of arms to take from an Orange crew.
    I rode up boldly to the I broke it with a sledge.
    I lodged a ball in Hamilton
