- A StormIn the year 1903 a fierce storm swept over the country particularly on the plains of Kildare. It was on the night of the 26th and the morning of the 27th February 1903. It did much damage in that county. There are many woods around Clane and several old trees which were highly appreciated by the people were uprooted.A shed belonging to the Parish Priest, who lived in Clane at the time, was blown over a quarter of a mile away.
