    wanted a wife. She had to be very lovely and as he decided set the women racing up the mountain. The day and all the women were gathered for the race. The first up was to be his wife. All the women started the race but the first up was a cripple being pushed by a friend in a little car. Finn was very disappointed when he saw this but he had to keep his promise and marry her. This is the reason why it is called Slievenamon which means, "The mountain of the women".
