   and the fire was very near quenched and a robin saw it was nearly out so he came over and looked and there was just one spark left and he began flapping his wings and the fire blazed up and scorched the robin's feathers and from that day every robin has a red breast.

   In olden times people used to make bread from potatoes, turnips peas and beans. They used to make it very hard and stand it up against a prop and the prop used to be two sods of turf, and that was the way the bread was baked. They used to
