    St. Patrick's Day
On St. Patrick's Day people wear a piece of shamrock. St Patrick's Day is on the 17th of March. It is a holiday for everyone. People have concerts and dances on St. Patrick's night in honour of St. Patrick. He was the patron saint of Ireland a long time ago. He went about preaching to the people the story of the cross. St. Patrick is buried in Downpatrick. It is said that the Shamrock hides itself till after Patrick's Day.
