  1. Finn Mac Cool and his warriors are said to have lived on allen Hill in Kildare years ago with his warriors. It is said he jumped from the hill down into a field in the village of Allen. And where his heel lit, a tree grew from a thorn which was in his heel. And a well sprung where the other lit. He threw a rock to the Curragh near Kildare town and the marks of his finger - prints are in it to this day. There is a round tower on that hill since Fionn Mac Cool was there.
