“The couple used to walk across the fields...”
The couple used to walk across the fields to the chapel or they went into a dray sitting on sacks of straw or cushions and the bride and bridegroom went together.
When a widow or a widower remarries people blow horns for several nights. If a widow remarries she must keep the left hand covered until the new ring is put on.
