  1. "Old Crafts"
    Bootmaking, Basketmaking and Candlemaking were carried on in our district about thirty years ago. Boots were made from animal skins. Baskets were made from elm sticks. Candles were made from rushes that grew in the water. Certain kinds of woodwork were carried on to - churns, and Barrells were made, some made carts. In every district there is (nearly) one thatcher.
