- Once upon a time there was a man going with butter to Sligo to sell it in the market. When he had it sold he got a three pound note for it. He did not like to change the three pound note, he had two pence in his pocket. He said he would buy a penny worth of delish and a penny bun for the two pennys, to eat on his way home. He got very thirsty on his way home. He called into a neighbour's house and got a drink of water. When he came home he found that he had the three pound note eaten along with the delish and penny bun.
