- Glenvale. 12/5/1938.
There are the ruins of an old chapel in the townland of Glenvale. The church was supposed to be built by a saint who lived in the time of Saint Patrick.
Some people say that is was Saint Patrick himself who built it, when he was converting the people of the Province of Connaught.
There are hardly any ruins of that chapel to be seen now except a part of one gable. Around it there are a heap of stones or "cairns" and there must be people buried in it.- Informant
