  1. It was almost all thatched roofs that were on the houses long ago, but the slated roof is more plentiful now. The houses were thatched with straw and scollops
    The best thatcher who used to thatch the houses in Lisalway, was James O'Hara. He was living in Jarmon but he is dead now. He used to thatch all the houses in the district.
