    When future generations shall view this mighty pile,
    They'll marvel at its beauty and rich artistic style
    And proudly point to children how each great rock was placed
    A symbol of unsullied Faith across the ages traces.
    Perhaps it will remind them of Blessed Bernadette,
    And of the dead who quietly sleep, whose sun of life has set;
    Then shall they breathe a prayer for those unto our Heavenly Queen,
    That she may save the men who planned "The Lourdes of Carrigeen.
    Note:- The rock used in building the face of the Grotto were procured from almost under the shadow of the old church at Rathkieran. Hence
