    (4) If you went in and out under an ass three times and bless yourself each time you would be cured.
    Burns
    If bread soda is applied to a burn after getting it will keep it from blistering. Steep the inner skin of the elm tree in cold water for twelve hours. When it is like jelly apply to the burn It cures the burn and it leaves no mark.
    Sty
    (1) If you prod a sty with seven thorns of a gooseberry tree it would be cured and it would never come again.
    (2) Another cure for a sty is make the sign of the cross on it three times with a gold ring
