    to hold court. She was called by the Irish people Margreadh Ní Ghirordh, that is Margaret Fitzgerald. So great was the fear she inspired amongst the peasantry that they used her name to frighten little children. Tradition says she paid two shillings and sixpence to each of the men who killed the "seven Bishops".
