A cure for boils is to rub a bit of ordinary wax on a piece of brown paper and stick it on the boil to draw the corruption out of it.
A cure for Yellow Jaundice is to boil the bark of an Elm tree in new milk and have it boiling for two hours. Then take it up and give the milk to the person that would have the Yellow Jaundice.
If anyone got a sting from a bee get a dog leaf and rub it on the sting to take it out and in that way it would not get swollen.
If a person has a cut in his hand and the doctor came to them he would have insects called Leeches to such the badness out of it.
A cure for the whooping cough is to give an ass a cut of bread to eat and if he lets any crumbs fall give them to the child and then make the child go out under the ass's belly three times.
