  1. About sixty years ago there was a very severe snowstorm. It was twenty feet high on the ground. It was higher than a house one story high. Mr. John Butler from Clonassey lost his life. A woman was killed also in Bishopsmountain. There was a gap in the yard, when she was coming out over the gap she fell and was killed.
    There was a great storm of lightning and it killed ten or twelve sheep on the mountain in Derrylackey.
    In Glenpipe a man was in between two horses, one was killed and the man and the other horse escaped.
    In Garryduff in Templeroum a man by the name of Malone was picking potatoes in a bucket. The thunder
