There were fairs held in Granny every month. It was held in a field near the road. It was a fowl market, the buyers came out from Waterford. The people got up very early in the morning. They were always in Granny about 6 o'clock in the morning.
Luck money is always given with cattle, pigs, sheep, and horses. The money is given according to the amount received for animals sold.- Informant
