- (continued from previous page)her child's death came. It was a wild day and the night came quickly and with it a terrible storm. Most of the day the mother had spent sitting in the same place looking down into the water. but she found time to do one strange thing that she had never done before. She made her little child's cot ready with clean white sheets and a swarm aired blanket and she spoke to no one even though the neighbours kept watching, as they thought her mind was worse.
