  1. they felt they were losing a saint. When he was on his death bed a poor farmer came to the presbytery and asked to see him. He told Fr. O'Shaughnessy that his six cows were dying with lung disease. The parish priest told him to drive his cows down under the window of his bedroom. The farmer did as he was told and the parish priest was carried to the window and he put out his hands to bless the cows. The farmer drove home his cows as well as ever.
