    The tub of water in the forge is for cooling the red iron. A forge is always situated near stream or a cross roads. The smith uses alot implements when working, such as an anvil, a slege, a hammer, a chisel, a rasp and a tub of water. A man that works in a forge is called a smith. Forge water is supposed to be a cure for chilblains. There is another smith in Tullahought named Thomas Broderic he was forrier in the British armey. Some smiths repairs all kinds of machinery. Their are some work that the smith does out in the opened air and that is binding wheels and many other things
