Humphrey O' Sullivan came to Callan about one hundred years ago...

    (continued from previous page)
    "Suaineas sioruidhe san riogact neamhdha.

    Amen.
When the National Schools were established Humphrey O'Sullivan gave up teaching and was married to a girl who had a draper's shop in Green Street where the ruins of the house are still to be seen.
Humphrey O'Sullivan wrote a diary in Irish and it is the only one of its kind that is to be got at present.
