    Some farmers used to light a fire across a gap and drives their animals and horses through it in order to bring luck.
    St. Martin's Day - Blood was always spilled on St. Martin's Day. A chicken or goose used to be killed.
    St. Patrick's Day - Burnt a stick and made a cross on each person's arm with the burnt end.
