- (continued from previous page)She was very good at making baskets. She was so good at making them that the people used to come to have her repair their baskets. She used to give the basket to the girls as presents. This is how she caused her death. One day as she was making a basket near an upper window she heard something. She leaned out to see what it was. She fell out through the window and broke her spinal chord and died.
- Many years ago there was a man named Jim Shea who lived in number 19 Upper Walkin Street, Kilkenny. He was a great thatcher and all the people used to come to him to thatch their houses. He is dead about ten years now. He was a thatcher since he was twenty years of age. One very wet day he was thatching for a woman named Wall, and he got such a wetting that he got pneumonia, and after a while he died of the pneumonia.
