The ingredients used for potato-cake were potatoes and flour and soda and salt. Oaten-meal bread was made from oaten-meal and soda and salt. Milk or water was used in kneading. There was enough bread made for a week. The bread was baked on a griddle. Bread was not baked before the fire.
